NEW RACE SHOP SERVICES

We are pleased to announce some new additions to the race services we now provide at the shop:

Alignment & Corner Weighing

To expedite setup on every car we build & service

we are pleased to announce the presence of a full Longacre scale set and Hunter alignment rack in house.

We also now carry a set of turnplates and a Snap-On toe gauge set in the stocked race trailer for every race weekend.

Tire Service

With the 944-Spec tire (Toyo RA-1) being difficult to track down at most of our Midwest race events,

we now include full in-house tire services. We will gladly pickup a racers rims at a Midwest event, haul them to the shop,

dismount the old tires, remount new spec tires, balance them and deliver them back to the following event!

Following in our pit support theme for the Midwest NASA Enduro races, we will also be carrying scrubbed in spares

For our pit inventory for the remainder of the season!

We are also planning (in the near future) to maintain 2 full sets of mounted & balanced tires (1 early offset and 1 late)

In our BENMS.COM mobile shop-hauler. No longer will a tire miss-hap end a 944-Spec drivers weekend!

Inhouse Fabrication

Due to a few complications leading up to the beginning of the 2010 race season we took the leap to

Begin manufacturing our own custom roll cages for the Porsche 944!

Our cages are constructed from 1 ½ x .120 DOM steel tube, mandrel bent, notched, and test fit into a spec chassis before being installed.

After observing many different cages in the 944, we took it all back to the drawing board and came up with a neat, close

Fitting cage that not only allows for more driver helmet space, easier car entry and exit, it also allows for COMPLETE

Weld access at all the junctions & mount points!

Sunroof tube (Kuhns tube)

Right & left rear support tubes

Extended door bars (require the door skins to be removed)

Door bar spreaders

The following can also be added if desired:

Forward firewall support tubes

Rear support cross members

(Any additional support tubes/ plates a driver wishes, providing it keeps the cage legal!!)
